I love photography! My greatest pleasure as a photographer is capturing a subject and bringing it to life. There is a story within every subject I capture and my compassion to tell the story that is there is what drives me to pursue my craft. My positive approach to life and my belief in the beauty in our daily lives is reflected in my images, whether they are still photos or video. I love to combine still and motion photography to tell compelling stories or to represent a belief that lies in the world around us.

As a young man, I always dreamt about being a photographer and wasn’t able to pursue this dream until my late thirties when I went back to school and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, where I majored in the Photojournalism/Documentary Program. In my years in school, I discovered that I enjoyed all forms of photography. I worked for a year as an intern for two major local newspapers. I became enamored with the exciting, enriching and rewarding experience of fine art photography. I learned about videography and began to experiment with combining still images, motion, graphics and music. All these forms of storytelling have come together for me at this time in my life and I enjoy every moment behind the lenses of my camera capturing “life” and then pulling those images out of the camera into the world of the viewer.

As you “travel” through my website, you will experience the wide variety of photography, videography and multimedia projects I have produced. I have my fine art showing in two local galleries and participate on a regular basis in juried photography shows. I have been the photographer and or videographer for many weddings and special events like birthdays and anniversaries. I enjoy providing family and individual portraits and interacting with clients in a positive and supportive manner. I also have produced dozens of 3 to 5 minute promotional videos for local non-profits, NGOs, local businesses and wineries as well as profiles for local artists.

Speaking of travel, I have been fortunate in the last few years to travel within the United States and to foreign countries. I live in a California town that is just 20 minutes to the South Gate to Yosemite and I am only three hours from the Pacific Ocean so have easy access to the beauty of Mother Nature. Some of my travels have been related to my “photography journey” as I attended workshops to further my craft while others have been for personal enjoyment and growth. My constant companion in all these travels has been my camera. Together we have witnessed and captured compelling life images in Viet Nam, Nepal, Italy, Puerto Rico and the United States of America.
